MAIDS-GRID are the first graduate program in Thailand offering MA & PhD in International Development Studies and one of the first in Southeast Asia to offer multidisciplinary training in international development. All M.A. and Ph.D. courses are taught using a seminar format to provide a forum for dialogue and discussion. The M.A. and Ph.D. students, coming from a wide range of countries and backgrounds, have a unique opportunity to share their experience and discover new cultural perspectives.

Master of Arts, One-Year Program

Master of Arts, Double Degree Program (DDP)
2-year program
A dual degree program with Sophia University, Japan. The students will study one year at MAIDS, Chulalongkorn University and one year at Sophia University. Students will earn two different Master of Arts degrees upon graduation, one from MAIDS and one from Sophia University.

GRID is designed for students to graduate within 3 years. If student wishes to graduate within the 3 year structure, student must register and complete the courses following this study plan
Research Track (Plan 1.1)

No coursework required, suitable for applicants with previous international development studies background.
Coursework and Thesis Track (Plan 2.1)
3-year program | Trimester basis
With compulsory and elective courses, this track is recommended for all applicants with or without international development studies background.
