This page summarizes the scholarships available for the 2018 intake. For all scholarship opportunities, please indicate the scholarship you would like to apply in your application form, or indicate your intention. MAIDS Program encourages all applicants to receive funding for their study with us. However, a number of scholarships are limited, and not able to cover all expenses for applicants. Below is the list of scholarships both provided by the MAIDS-GRID Program and Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University; and our partners for 2018/19 Year Intake.

Education Scholarships

1.  M-GAP Scholarship

The MAIDS-GRID Program annually offers applicants from 10 ASEAN Member Countries to pursue the scholarship, “MAIDS-GRID SCHOLARSHIPS for ASEAN APPLICANTS (M-GAP)” which covers program fees for potential applicants. This scholarship is offered for 1 Thai student and 1 non-Thai student for MA and 1 Scholarship for PhD Student. This scholarship is available for application until 31 March 2018.

 

2. ASEAN Scholarship

The Scholarship is offered by the Office of Academic Affairs, Chulalongkorn University to ASEAN national applicants. This scholarship covers air fares, tuition and program fee, and living stipends. However, this scholarship is limited and competitive across other faculties in Chulalongkorn University. Potential applicants must attach the scholarship application along with other required documents to MAIDS-GRID Program.

Moreover, applicants have to apply through an "special process" with the program. The scholarship is due in its Second Round by end of March." For more information, please see http://www.academic.chula.ac.th/

PhD Program Qualifications is that applicants must hold either Bachelor's Degree (Plan 1.2 and 2.2) and or Master’s Degree (Plan 1.1 and 2.1) in any related fields with GPAX at least 3.25 OR Complete 12-credit coursework from MAIDS Program with GPAX at least 3.50 (Plan 2.1). In addition, TOEFL iBT: based score of 78; IELTS score of 6.0; CU-TEP score of 75.

This scholarship is unavailable for application this academic year. Any change will be announced.

 

3. The 100th Anniversary Chulalongkorn University for Doctoral Scholarship

This scholarship is enhanced by the Graduate School, Chulalongkorn University to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the university. The scholarship supports 3-year tuition with the Thai student rate with 9,000 baht as a monthly stipend. Student's supervisor also receives 20,000 baht for his/her supervision contribution. 4. 60/40 Support for Tuition Fee

Graduate School, Chulalongkorn University offers the 60/40 Support for Tuition Fee for those students who enroll in either PhD or MA Program. The scholarship supports MA student for 1 year; while PhD student receives 3-5 years of support. However, this scholarship is reserved for students with GPAX more than 3.50 only. 5. Scholarship for International Graduate Students

Graduate School, Chulalongkorn University offers the scholarship for international graduate students. However, the Program only accepts the PhD applications for this scholarship. Applicant must obtain GPAX more than 3.50, and good command of English proficiency (CU-TEP 75; TOEFL 79, IELTS 6). 6. Royal Golden Jubilee Scholarship for Thai PhD Student

Applicant must apply with us first. If one's qualifications matches with the research theme. You will be called to receive this full scholarship from the first year up to the third year of study. However, the scholarship recipient must hold GPAX during the Bachelor's degree more than 3.00. 7. Royal Golden Jubilee Scholarship for International PhD Student

Applicant must apply with us first. If one's qualifications matches with the research theme, Agriculture. You will be called to receive this full scholarship from the first year up to the third year of study. However, the scholarship recipient must hold GPAX during the Bachelor's degree more than 3.00.
